A resistive touch screen is a type of display technology that registers input by detecting pressure applied to the screen, working with two flexible sheets separated by a small gap, where pressing on the top layer causes it to touch the bottom layer, completing an electrical circuit and registering the touch location; unlike capacitive touch screens, resistive screens require more pressure to activate and generally do not support multi-touch functionality.
