A UTP Video Balun, also known as a “video balun” or “CAT5 balun”, is a device that allows for the transmission of video signals from a CCTV camera over standard Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cable, like a Cat5 Ethernet cable, instead of using traditional coaxial cable, essentially converting the video signal to a format compatible with twisted pair wiring, enabling cost-effective and flexible camera installations by utilizing existing cabling infrastructure.
